Are Science and Faith seriously opposed to each other? Is one forced to choose between beliefs supported by faith and beliefs support by science? Are the claims of science vastly more trustworthy than the claims of the Christian faith?
Ewan Goligher MD, FRCPC, (MSc. cand., Dept. of Physiology), will address these questions during a lecture held as part of the God and Reason series (www.bit.ly/godandreason). Dr. Goligher practices critical care medicine at University Health Network in Toronto. He is currently pursuing graduate work in respiratory muscle physiology as it pertains to mechanical ventilation during respiratory failure. He has published peer-reviewed articles and reviews in a number of medical journals and is the recipient of several research grants including a Post-Doctoral Fellowship from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. He is also a devout Christian and attends Grace Fellowship Church Don Mills (www.gfcdonmills.ca). He lives in Toronto with his wife and three children.
